Stuck In A Rut: Do You Know Your Zone?

When I first started working out I could barely run a half mile before I was huffing and puffing. In fact, I really didn’t  know how to gauge my level of fitness. Was I pushing my workouts too hard? Was I not working out hard enough? I had no idea that knowing your aerobic heart range was critical to getting in great shape. By knowing your aerobic heart range you learn how to train safe and how to up the intensity of your workouts to get maximized results. When I started getting back into shape this is something that I didn’t pay too close attention to. At the time I didn’t think it was necessary to know my aerobic heart rate zone. Because of my ignorance or you might say lack of self-education on the matter I went a solid month without losing any weight.  What I didn’t know and what I needed to know was keeping me from my weight loss journey and what I discovered was that I wasn’t pushing myself hard enough! I found my aerobic heart range!
